Felicity House was built in the early 1800’s by a ship owner called James Theaker. James had a boat called The Felicity which was one of the fastest sailing yawls on the east coast. Felicity House was named after this boat.

The house has stunning views down to the harbour —I expect at one time anxious eyes would have watched the coming and going of The Felicity—nowadays we can simply enjoy the view.

Ground Floor                                                                                         The ground floor of the cottage is open plan with a living area with  comfy sofa, chairs and a log burning stove, dining area and  kitchen.  The kitchen has a double oven, microwave, dishwasher and there is also a washer/ dryer machine.

First Floor                                                                                                                         There is a double bedroom, single bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The double room has wonderful views down to the harbor. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a shower over the bath.

Second Floor                                                                                                                                  There is a large bedroom at the top of the house which has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. Again there are views down to the sea.

Outside Space                                                                                                                                                                               The house has an enclosed yard that catches the evening sunshine—perfect for BBQs.  Unusually for Staithes there is also a designated car parking space for Felicity House.
